Often meetings are a waste of time as attendees are unsure of why the meeting was scheduled ad there are no clear discussion points . Meetings use people’s time which could be used for other meaningful activities. Having an agenda and someone to chair the meeting is beneficial as this ensures all relevant points are discussed and respects people’s time.

Inviting all the people who are involved in this task is important to avoid duplication of ideas and tasks.

Workable version: assess who needs to be involved, invite all the required staff, arrange a meeting where everyone can attend, set an agenda, nominate someone responsible for chairing the meeting and ensuring all actions are completed.

Action: Ask for the purpose of a meeting and the agenda ahead of a meeting. An agenda could be a few bullet points.
